Reiki originally comes from Japan and was said to originate from Mikao Usui. Rei means "universal life" and "ki" means energy. Reiki is an energy that flows through all living things. Reiki practitioners are trained to be aware of the reiki already within their body and are given techniques to channel it through their hands. They then practice on different people and become certified.  

Reiki sessions are offered by Reiki 1 certified practitioner, Katarina Reyes. The session consists of laying down on a massage chair while reiki energy flows from the practitioner's hands to the receivers body. Client's have a choice to either have the practioner's hands directly on them or hovering above them. If the client has discomfort laying down then the session can be done in a chair.
